Stuart Billington's Petition

A shame he didn't get together with Wellington Grey as we have now ended up with two petitions demanding pretty much the same thing.

Still it's better than no petitions, so if you agree with him (ie that science education is in serious danger of becoming a joke) then give him your support here

You can waste many happy hours looking through all the petitions on this site. I have no idea why this one was rejected, or this one either.

Yeah, "steven shepherd of student" is clearly no longer in need of any further attempts at education.

signed, although I doubt these petition's have any effect. They usually get a responce similar to yours which seems more like a cut and paste from the policy manual.

Didn't they announce that they would e-mail everybody who signed the no road pricing petition to explain "We think it's a good idea and all you whingers should sod off" ?
This makes me wonder what the point of these e-petitions is. There are some good arguments both for and against road pricing but since we supposedly live in a democracy it would seem to me that an idea that a million plus people are prepared to stand up and say we don't want it would be quietly abandoned.

Still enjoying your blog Mr Chalk, as are most of my extended teaching family scattered throughout the UK. I couldn't do your (or their) jobs...
